CSCOPE Curriculum System and Support
Education Service Center - Region 19
ESC-R19 is one of nineteen service centers participating in the Texas Education Service Center Curriculum Collaborative called CSCOPE. CSCOPE is a curriculum support system that is fully aligned to the TEKS and designed to provide a common language, process and structure for curriculum development. Groups of ESC professionals and content specialists have collaboratively clarified the TEKS so that instructional delivery is more focused to ensure success for all students. CSCOPE has:
- Created a curriculum based on the best of research and practice
- Clarified the TEKS by adding specificity
- Aligned the TEKS from a 12-K perspective
- Created a suggested scope and sequence to ensure that all TEKS are taught in the course of a school year
- Created lessons fully aligned to the TEKS with the rigor necessary for mastery
- Created an online housing system for 24/7 access.
