Autism Spectrum Disorders
The Autism Spectrum Disorders Program serves families, districts and the community working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorders in a variety of school settings. Staff development and technical assistance is designed to support districts and families in implementing the best individualized program for student success.
Training is designed to address a wide range of student, parent and district needs which include, but are not limited to: behavior skills, social skills, communication skills, curriculum development, instructional methodologies, current research and sensory issues.
On-site technical assistance is available to help districts implement programs using best practices in Structured Teaching based on the TEACCH Model, visual strategies for behavior and communication, physical structure and other teaching methodologies designed for students with ASD.
A Professional Lending Library is available with the most current books, catalogs, videos and other materials for loan to interested individuals.
