Texas Teacher of the Year, Ramon Benavides is getting national attention through his participation in Google for Education's "How Chrome Powers my Classroom" talk where he was the invited guest speaker. Benavides shares how Chrome helps him drive impactful teaching and learning at Ysleta ISD.
The ESC19, Title IV Part A Newsletter, is designed to provide information, training opportunities, and resources as we work together to provide a safe and healthy school environment for all students. Our resources run the gamut, from Anxiety Management for Educators or Parent & Family Engagement to Legal Issues In Bullying, Cyber-Bullying and Disability Harassment. The ESC Region 19 College and Career Readiness team has put together these resources with reputable websites. The content will be updated regularly as school closures throughout our region are being affected by COVID-19. This includes the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), Texas Application for State Financial Aid (TASFA), Texas’ Virtual College Adviser (ADVi), and more! Please feel free to share these resources with student support staff.
This year they will highlight the importance of climate change, its impact on water resources, and how it forces communities to implement changes. Kids can submit written compositions, paintings, digital media, photography, or music based on the climate change theme.

2022 Take Care of Texas K - 5 Kids Art Contest
Join the Take Care of Texas Program fun way for K-5 students to learn about protecting the environment and come up with creative ways to share this knowledge with others!
Take Care of Texas is accepting entries through March 4, 2022. The students that submit the best art can WIN a tablet or laptop computer. Prizes are made possible through a donation from the Texas Chemical Council.
