    For the first time ever, a Borderland school has broken into the world robotics spotlight! Franklin High School’s Genesis team of four juniors is now No. 2 globally out of over 10,000 teams. And they’re not stopping there! Even their freshmen team, Oriental Express, is climbing the ranks, sitting strong at No. 86.   •  Empowering Perceptions Conference 2024

    Celebrating Inclusivity!

    This year's Empowering Perceptions Conference created a space for a community of inclusion. "I think it was an amazing experience, and it was really nice to get to see all the different groups perform and to see all the different vendors, the student vendors, and just to see all the different resources that there are within the community.", says Emily Garcia, special education teacher at Clint High School, Clint ISD.

  • Fabens ISD Awarded $344,000 for Career Training

    A grant of more than $344,000 has been awarded to Fabens Independent School District (ISD) to support career and technical education (CTE) training programs so students are prepared for high-demand, good-paying jobs after graduation. Awarded by the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC), the Jobs and Education for Texans (JET) grant will help the school district purchase and install equipment to initially train 126 students as registered nurses in partnership with El Paso Community College.
