The Texas Workforce Commission partnered up with the Texas Governor’s Committee on People With Disabilities and Texas Workforce Solutions on ‘Texas HireAbility’, a program designed to raise awareness about the benefits of hiring people with disabilities and highlight their contributions in the workplace. In light of this, ESC Region 19 has been recognized as the 2022 HireAbility Outstanding Employer Award at the HireAbility Recognition Ceremony on September 8, 2022 at the El Paso Community Foundation.
Students, grades 4th-9th, from various states such as Wyoming, California, Washington, Colorado, Michigan, New Mexico and Texas, competed for hours on July 30th for the title of National Spanish Spelling Bee Champion. This summer, Education Service Center Region 19 hosted the iBuild Architecture and Construction Camp 2022. Middle and high school students from across the region were invited to attend at the Starlight Event Center over eight days complete hands-on, work-based activities.
This year they will highlight the importance of climate change, its impact on water resources, and how it forces communities to implement changes. Kids can submit written compositions, paintings, digital media, photography, or music based on the climate change theme.

2022 Take Care of Texas K - 5 Kids Art Contest
Join the Take Care of Texas Program fun way for K-5 students to learn about protecting the environment and come up with creative ways to share this knowledge with others!
Take Care of Texas is accepting entries through March 4, 2022. The students that submit the best art can WIN a tablet or laptop computer. Prizes are made possible through a donation from the Texas Chemical Council.
