ESC 19 has always been a proud partner and advocate of our educators; committed to the highest standards in academic achievement and professional development for our students and educators. That is why we are privileged to continue our longstanding tradition of recognizing these most distinguished and devoted educators at an annual awards and celebration event. The exemplary teachers that are recognized have demonstrated outstading achievement, devotion, and unwavering faith in their students' success as to stand apart in their districts and be identified by their peers, and administrators as models of excellence in their classrooms and community. We also honor all of our district teachers out there who quietly devote their lives to inspiring our children with great humility and enthusiasm.

2018-2019 T.O.Y. Videos

"A Million Dreams" was the introductory song for the ESC Region 19 Teacher of the Year Awards in 2018 as recognition of the impact these outstanding teachers have on their students and our community. This video is a recap of the event and aired on KCOS-TV. Special thanks to Teachers Federal Credit Union for co-sponsoring the event with ESC R19 and for awarding the top three elementary and secondary teachers with monetary prizes.
2017-2018 T.O.Y. Video

Dr. Aguirre, ESC Region 19 Executive Director, hosts a special encore presentation of the Teacher of the Year awards celebration. This video features all of the area districts' teachers of the years and honors the work of all educators and adminstators striving to provide all students with high quality education and career opportunities to be both college & career ready upon graduation. Dr. Aguirre speaks briefly at the beginning of the video as to the state of education in our community.
2016-2017 T.O.Y. Video

Hundreds gathered at the Plaza Theater to attend the 2016-2017 Teacher of the Year Awards and cheer on their favorite teachers. ESC Region 19 and Teachers' Federal Credit Union are honored to recognize the best of the best teachers in our region with an annual celebration and selection of winners to move on to compete for the Texas State Teacher of the Year title.
