BORDERPLEX HOT JOBS
The Texas Workforce Commission Borderplex publishes a yearly report where they evaluate and analyze the current landscape of jobs in the Borderplex. The criteria that they use to classify a job as a “Hot Job” are the following criteria:
• Pay a $17.24 Living Wage (FY 2024)
• Have more than 20 annual openings
• Have a projected industry growth of 10% or more

Students are given the opportunity to study a career pathway and earn credentials of value known as Industry Based Certifications (IBCs).
