APPROVED BY THE TEXAS EDUCATION AGENCY IN 1994, REGION 19's ALTERNATIVE CERTIFICATION IS A PROGRAM THAT CERTIFIES HIGHLY QUALIFIED TEACHERS, LIBRARIANS AND PRINCIPALS IN THE STATE OF TEXAS.
Region 19's Alternative Certification Program supports you in every stage of your career: teacher, librarian and principal.
Region 19's Alternative Certification Program is directly connected to the Education Service Center, governed by the Texas Education Agency. Our relationships with the school districts are a direct benefit to you.

Complaints/ Grievances Procedures
If you believe you have a complaint against the ESC-Region 19 Alternative Certification Program, please contact the Program Recruiters. Complaints will be heard and resolved informally, if possible.

If the complaint is not resolved by the Program Recruiters, you may file a formal complaint with the Program Specialist. Complaints at this level must be submitted by a formal written complaint.

If the complaint is not resolved by the Program Specialist, you may escalate the complaint to the Department Director or Assistant Director by filling out an ESC Customer Complaint Form. The form will be provided upon request.

The complaint may be escalated to the Executive Director of ESC Region 19 if it has not been resolved by the Director. If the complaint is escalated all further contact is to be addressed by the executive director.
