    We are dedicated to providing quality services to area educators. We strive to provide services that will impact student success. As technologies evolve, so does education. Integration of technology into the curriculum will be an important component of student success within our schools, colleges and beyond. Professional development offered aims to give educators in our area structured technology integration tools that will be purposeful and cost-effective.

     

    On Site/Face to Face Sessions:

     

    Tech Tools:

    • Blended Learning Basics (half-day)
      • This session will focus on learning about the different blended learning models. Join us to find the right model for you! During this session we will also engage in using tools to get you started with blended learning.
    • Keep Calm and Google On Series:
      • G Suite Basics (half-day): Welcome to the G-Suite Life! This half-day session will get you up and running with Google. We will explore the different apps for education Google has to offer and we will guide you through basic understanding and navigation of the G-Suite. This session is for beginning users of the G-Suite.
      • Google Sheets (half-day/part 1 of 4): So, you want to learn more about G-Suite? This half-day session will focus on one of the G-Suite apps: Google Sheets. We will discover ways to use Google Sheets in various content areas. This session is for beginning users of Google Sheets, basic knowledge and navigation of the Google apps is encouraged.
      • Google Slides (half-day/part 2 of 4): So, you want to learn more about G-Suite? This half-day session will focus on one of the G-Suite apps: Google Slides. We will discover ways to use Google Slides in various content areas. This session is for beginning users of Google Slides, basic knowledge and navigation of the Google apps is encouraged.
      • Google Docs (half-day/part 3 of 4): So, you want to learn more about G-Suite? This half-day session will focus on one of the G-Suite app: Google Docs. We will discover ways to use Google Docs in various content areas. We will address collaboration, differentiation, communication and creativity when using Google Docs. This session is for beginning and intermediate users of Google Docs, basic knowledge and navigation of the Google apps is encouraged.
      • Google Forms (half-day/part 4 of 4): So, you want to learn more about G-Suite? This half-day session will focus on one of the G-Suite app: Google Forms. We will discover ways to use Google Forms in various content areas. We will address assessment, collaboration, differentiation, and communication when using Google Forms. This session is for beginning and intermediate users of Google Forms, basic knowledge and navigation of the Google apps is encouraged.
    • Interactive Word Walls
      • Early Childhood (full day): Participants will explore how word walls and anchor charts can help students achieve academic success and how the integration of technology only enhances the use of these tools.
      • Secondary (full day): Want to increase interactivity with your current word wall? Look no further! Join us to engage in the research by Dr. Julie Jackson and Rose Narvaez and use their five steps to creating an interactive word wall to support vocabulary development. We will discuss the research, engage in hands-on learning, and leave the session with examples to begin using right away. Technology devices are not required but encouraged as we will integrate some technology tools with the Interactive Word Walls.
    • Ctrl + Alt + Write! (Secondary) (half-day):
      • Join us to discover different tech tools to support learning and increase mastery when teaching the writing process. Come explore tools that are easy to use, quick to set up and engaging for the students as they prepare their writing piece.
    • Rockin' Tech Tools Series:
      • Nearpod (half-day): Have 1:1 technology available and not sure what to do? Want to keep students engaged throughout your lesson? Want to get immediate feedback to adjust instruction? Nearpod can do all this and more! Join us to learn about Nearpod and its many components to engage students during your lesson with a variety of activities and get immediate feedback to adjust instruction. Use Nearpod whether you have 1:1 or only one iPad in your classroom.
      • Seesaw (half-day): Need to get those creative juices going when students are completing your tasks? Join us for a fun-filled hands-on experience using Seesaw. Seesaw is a free tool that supports creativity, keeps parents involved and provides opportunities for students to engage with your content in different ways.
      • Assessment and Vocabulary Development - Secondary (half-day): Ready to take assessment to the next level? Join us for this hands-on session where we will explore various tech tools for assessment of student content mastery. We will use technology to receive immediate data to adjust instruction and provide immediate feedback to students. We will also discover various tech tools that support vocabulary development while engaging students.
      • Assessment and Vocabulary Development - Elementary (half-day): Ready to take assessment to the next level? Join us for this hands-on session where we will explore various tech tools for assessment of student content mastery. We will use technology to receive immediate data to adjust instruction and provide immediate feedback to students. We will also discover various tech tools that support vocabulary development while engaging students.
    • iClassroom (full day):
      • This session highlights engaging and innovative lesson examples using the iPad that can be integrated across multiple content areas for any K-12 classroom.
    • Tech-Learning Centers for the Secondary Classroom (full day):
      • During this session we will experience technology tools that will keep your classroom management under control while your students are moving and learning in centers.
