  • EPISD Wins Regional Spanish Spelling Bee

    In a spellbinding showcase of linguistic skill, Diego Hernández-Salinas from Wiggs Middle School emerged victorious after an unprecedented 21 rounds at the ESC19 Regional Spanish Spelling Bee held May 11, 2024. Not far behind, Emiliano Ferran Martínez Caloca from Mesita Elementary School secured second place, both shining representatives of the El Paso Independent School District.     Calling All Spanish Spellers! Bee A Champion!

    The 2024 Regional and National Spanish Spelling Bee competitions will be hosted in El Paso by Education Service Center Region 19 (ESC19). Students, grades 4th-8th, in the El Paso and Hudspeth counties can participate by registering on esc19.net. The Regional Spanish Spelling will be held on May 11 at 6611 Boeing Drive. The top two regional winners will automatically qualify for the National Spanish Spelling Bee to be held June 26-27, 2024. Click to learn more!
