Alma Trejo

PRESENTING SESSION: Juvenile Violent Crimes Prevention and Awareness
Alma Trejo grew up in Pecos and Fabens, Texas. She is a graduate of Fabens High School and earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at El Paso, followed by a Juris Doctor from Texas Tech School of Law.
She was a prosecutor for 10 years with the El Paso District Attorney’s Office before serving 21 years as judge of County Criminal Court #1. She now holds the position of Senior Division Chief at the El Paso County Attorney’s Office, where she oversees prosecutorial operations for the county’s three Annex offices, as well as its Criminal and Juvenile units.
Throughout her career, she has been actively involved in the community, frequently speaking at police departments, schools, civic organizations, and churches across El Paso County.

April Galvan
Principal, Assistant County Attorney
PRESENTING SESSION: Social Media, Teens and Internet Safety
April Galvan was raised in El Paso, Texas, where she graduated from Jefferson High School before earning her undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at El Paso. She went on to attend the University of Texas School of Law in Austin, graduating in May 2017.
Ms. Galvan began her career with the El Paso County Attorney’s Office as an intern in 2015, working in both the CPS and Juvenile units. Since May 2019, she has served as a trial attorney in the Juvenile Unit, where she now holds the role of Principal Attorney. In this capacity, she handles a wide range of juvenile cases, from misdemeanor offenses to first-degree felonies.
