experience in education. A former Texas
State Teacher of the Year, he has served
as an ESL/Bilingual teacher, district
specialist, Texas Reading Academies
master trainer, senior analyst for
Reading First, and reading director for a
major Texas school district. His work
focuses on early childhood education,
English learners, dyslexia, and students
with diverse reading needs.
