TEXAS STATE Spanish Spelling Bee

The inaugural Texas State Spanish Spelling Bee is set to make history in El Paso, TX, hosted with enthusiasm by the Education Service Center Region 19.
Drawing participants from cities across the vast expanse of Texas, this unique linguistic competition will showcase the spelling prowess of students ranging from 4th to 8th grades.
The event will not only be a platform for linguistic excellence but also an opportunity for the participants to advance to the National Spanish Spelling Bee, hosted in Albuquerque, New Mexico!
As they navigate the challenges of spelling in Spanish, students will also have the chance to immerse themselves in the rich cultural tapestry of this bilingual border city, thanks to various sponsored activities offering a fantastic experience of El Paso's vibrant charm.
The Texas State Competition
DATE: June 18 and 19, 2025
LOCATION: Starlight Event Center, 6611 Boeing Drive, El Paso, TX. 79925
WHO: Regional Winners (grades 4th-8th)
Participants of the Spanish Spelling Bee are encouraged to review the study guide, lista de palabras, and competition rules by visiting the National Spanish Spelling Bee website (www.nationalspanishspellingbee.com).
The competition will be hosted by Education Service Center Region 19.
