Summary

This position is responsible for audio & video technical support for the Starlight Event Center and may require working on weekends and evenings. Prime responsibility is to support audio-visual systems and teleconferencing at the Starlight Event Center during events which can be configured to have up to five rooms for event hosting. He/she will lead the set up and troubleshooting for fixed LED video wall displays, run sound system and video teleconferencing systems. This position will be integral to the success of events hosted at the state-of-the-art Starlight Event Center. This position also offers the opportunity to mentor and train colleagues and student workers.

Qualifications

This position requires High School/GED or equivalent with three or more years work experience in video production/event production; Clear motivation to work with multimedia; Technical understanding of AV and IT systems; Up-to-date awareness of AV technologies and their features; Expertise in video conferencing and broadcast systems; Extensive knowledge of the architectural, cabling, and control system requirements of AV technologies; Experience with sound boards; Experience with Microsoft office and or Adobe Creative Cloud preferred but not required; Great interpersonal and communication skills; Analytical and risk assessment abilities; Project management and deadline fulfillment skills; Strong technical and troubleshooting skills.
