    TPCP Cycle 42 will begin in September 2020. Applications for Cycle 42 are currently being accepted, application deadline is August 28, 2020. 

     

    We are currently working off site, applications & supporting documents will be accepted via email to crodriguez3@esc19.net. If you have any questions feel free to email us, all fees and official documents will be processed once we return to the office. 


    The Teacher Preparation and Certification Program (TPCP) was originally implemented to prepare non-certified teachers to fill shortages in critical need areas and to provide entry into the teaching profession for qualified individuals wishing to make a career change. 

    This program is a field-based training model in which competencies are learned from a variety of specialist. Upon successful completion of all program requirements, internship, program recommendations and a passing score on all necessary TExES exams, participants will earn a Texas teaching certificate specific to their area of study.

     

     

    All information is subject to change based on State Board of Educator Certification rules. The ESC - Region 19 Teacher Preparation and Certification Program complies with and meets federal guidelines as mandated by the "No Child Left Behind" legislation.

    TPCP - Teacher Preparation and Certification Program Information Meeting

    Thinking of a career change? Are you interested in becoming a Math or Science teacher?

    If you have a bachelor’s degree with a GPA of 2.5 or higher, you are eligible to apply for ESC-Region 19's Teacher Preparation and Certification Program for STEM.

    This is an opportunity to obtain a year-long internship to best prepare you for a rewarding career in the teaching profession.  The Texas Teacher Quality Partnership will not only provide you the opportunity to obtain your certification as a Texas teacher, but you will also be afforded the opportunity obtain a master’s degree of education in learning and technology.

    If approved and accepted, a grant will be awarded to cover the tuition for your certification, master’s degree with Western Governor’s University and a living wage salary.
