    TPCP Cycle 43 will begin in September 2021. Applications for Cycle 43 are currently being accepted, application deadline is September 17, 2021. 


    Applications & supporting documents will be accepted via email to ppena@esc19.net or bcastillo@esc19.net; once your documentation is received we will follow up with links to pay application fees.  

    The Teacher Preparation and Certification Program (TPCP) was originally implemented to prepare non-certified teachers to fill shortages in critical need areas and to provide entry into the teaching profession for qualified individuals wishing to make a career change. 

    This program is a field-based training model in which competencies are learned from a variety of specialist. Upon successful completion of all program requirements, internship, program recommendations and a passing score on all necessary TExES exams, participants will earn a Texas teaching certificate specific to their area of study.



    All information is subject to change based on State Board of Educator Certification rules. The ESC - Region 19 Teacher Preparation and Certification Program complies with and meets federal guidelines as mandated by the "No Child Left Behind" legislation.
