Autism Spectrum Disorders
The Autism Spectrum Disorders Program serves families, districts, and the community, working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorders in a variety of school settings.
Training and Staff Development in evidence-based practices are designed to address a wide range of student, parent, and district needs which include, but are not limited to: behavior skills, social skills, communication skills, curriculum development, instructional methodologies, current research, and sensory issues. Our goal is to embark on a journey of learning to listen to behavior through the lens of communication that can in turn enhance the individual plans we create for our students.
On-site Technical Assistance is available to help districts implement programs using best practices in Structured Teaching, visual strategies for behavior and communication, physical structure, and other teaching methodologies designed for students with ASD.The Autism Conference strives to bring our El Paso community together by highlighting local professionals, students, and parents presenting in many areas of ASD. Our conference is a much-needed resource that brings over 600 participants working to support the present and future of our students and their families!
