NEW SIX STORY CONFERENCE & PARKING STRUCTURE – GROUNDBREAKING, FEB. 27, 2020
El Paso, Texas (February 27, 2020) —
Education Service Center Region 19 celebrates the Groundbreaking of our new six story conference center and parking structure. Guests attended from all over the city, including various school districts, local buisnesses, and our partners in education.
Texas Education Agency's Comissioner of Education, Mike Morath, was also in attendance.
The groundbreaking ceremony took place at 11:30AM which featured celebratory speeches from education, business and community partners including the El Paso International Airport.
A celebration was held with Socorro High School's Mariachi Group, "El Mariachi Los Galivanes" playing music as guests were arriving and discussing the amazing posibilities this new conference center will bring for the city.
ESC Region 19’s new conference center will represent the innovative future of meetings and events. With almost 50,000 square feet of meeting and exhibit space, the building’s unique architecture featuring panoramic views of the beautiful Franklin Mountains in El Paso, TX and both the exterior & interior areas’ finishes will create a new niche in the marketplace. Ideally situated next to the El Paso International Airport plus its close proximity to Ft. Bliss and the heart of the freeway interchange, the new ESC19 Conference Center will be the epicenter of a mixed-use entertainment district that includes hotels, restaurants, shopping, night life entertainment and more.
The ESC Region Conference Center is expected to be a glimmering example of El Paso’s sophisticated infrastructure and progressive innovation. Equipped with state-of-the art networking and audio/visual capabilities, large scale events requiring strong connectivity & high power will find excellent service at ESC19’s new center. The first floor’s commercial kitchen and dining gallery is expected to be a popular spot for guests to dine & recharge their digital devices. The parking will accommodate approximately 650 spaces for vehicles.
“This new conference center will be transformative for the size & complexity of events we can host. It significantly expands our ability to serve our growing community & attract national conventions,” said Dr. Armando Aguirre, ESC19 Executive Director.
Aguirre says the new structure will provide ample parking for ESC19 staff & event guests; create a unique & sophisticated venue to attract more business; and will be a special place for creating memorable experiences.
“We are very proud and excited for this project which is an incredible legacy for ESC19 in service to all of our region,” Aguirre said.
Thank you to everyone who was in attendance!
