Summary
This position involves assisting with the nutrition and food service needs of children and center staff while adhering to administrative guidelines. The cook assistant should always demonstrate responsibility, respect, and excellent kitchen management skills.
Qualifications
Food handler’s card; bilingual (English/Spanish); high school diploma or GED (preferred); experience in preparing food for children (preferred); prior experience in food service (preferred); knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment (preferred); knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards; or any equivalent combination of acceptable training and experience as determined by the Executive Director.
