Substitute-19 Hours/Week, Head Start 2023-2024 Pool
Summary
Plays a vital role in the early childhood development and success of all Head Start students by being a support for the implementing the Head Start curriculum and programmatic needs. Demonstrating personal leadership to support programmatic needs to positively impact the success of all students by advocating, nurturing, and sustaining an environment conducive to learning and early childhood development. The focus of this position, although not limited to, is impacting early childhood development at the center level.
Qualifications
Current Head Start Parent or Former Head Start Parent whose child graduated from the program or college students currently enrolled in school toward a degree of Early Childhood Education or a related field. Substitutes working in roles in child/ staff ratio must have a high school diploma or GED Child Development Associate Credential or Associate’s Degree in Child Development (preferred); one to three years’ experience working with disadvantaged preschool children (preferred); proficient in English and Spanish (preferred); food handler’s card (preferred); CPR/ 1st Aid Certified (preferred); or any equivalent combination of acceptable training and experience as determined by the Executive Director.
