PT Tutor, High Impact Tutoring (HB 4545)
Summary
The HB4545 High Impact Tutor will play a critical role designing and implementing supplemental instruction to students in grades 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 multiple times a week. Reporting to the Program Manager of Tutoring Services, the Tutor will use Region 19’s small group tutoring intervention program to deliver tutoring sessions in-person and monitor students’ progress. The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic, results-driven, and self-starter individual who enjoys working with young children and developing learning skills. The individual must provide consistent, outstanding support to students and be a strong communicator with parents, teachers, and other interested stakeholders. They will combine a capacity for technology and strong relationship-building skills.
Qualifications
This position requires a high school diploma or GED certificate and two years of successful completion of higher education course work. Must have skills in working with students, effective interpersonal and communication skills as well as clerical and computer skills. Must be Bilingual (English/Spanish) and have a basic understanding of the needs of language minority, economically disadvantaged and special populations. Requires a valid drivers’ license.
