Professional Development Consultant, STEM/CTE



This position provides regional campus and district educators with technical assistance and professional development opportunities in Science, Technology, Engineering & Math (STEM), Computer Science, Robotics, and Career & Technical Education (CTE). Provides technical assistance and support with completion of requirements associated with the various accountability systems including, but not limited to, House Bill 5/Personal Graduation Plans, HB3, Carl D. Perkins, and the continuous improvement model, as the necessary activities that reflect an emphasis on data integrity, data analysis, and improved student performance and program effectiveness.





This position requires a master’s degree; Texas Teacher Certification in Math 6-12 and/ or technology education, a Computer Science Texas Teacher Certification is preferred.  Must have three years’ experience teaching secondary STEM, Computer, Science, Robotics, CTE and/or Mathematics, with strong communication and effective interpersonal skills; deep understanding of CTE Programs specifically as related to STEM, Engineering, and Robotics.  English Learners (ESL certification preferred); instructional technology skills preferred; skills in developing and delivering continuing education and training, computer skills, a valid driver’s license, proof of auto insurance and other alternatives deemed appropriate by the Executive Director.
