Center Manager, Head Start 2024-2025 Pool
Summary
This position is essential for upholding the integrity of the Region 19 ESC Head Start Program and requires effective interaction with children, families, and community stakeholders. The primary responsibility of the Center Manager is to ensure the quality administration of daily center operations. This individual must be flexible and possess strong team leadership skills. Additionally, the person in this role must demonstrate competency in organizational and instructional leadership, parental and community involvement, and program compliance.
Qualifications
The qualifying skills for this position are as follows: High School Diploma or GED; Associate of Arts Degree in Elementary Education, Early Childhood Education or related field including 3 college credit hours in business management and two (2) years experience as a Head Start Assistant Center Manager in a licensed child-development setting; or an Associate of Arts Degree in Elementary Education, Early Childhood Education or related field with at least 3 college credit hours in business management and five (5) years experience in management and supervision in a licensed child development setting; or a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education, Early Childhood Education or related field with at least 3 college credit hours in business management and one year experience in management and supervision in a licensed Child Development setting; TDFPS Child Care Director’s Certificate (preferred); bilingual (English/Spanish); or any equivalent combination of acceptable training and experience as determined by the Executive Director.
