Mechanic, Head Start 2023-2024 Pool
Summary
The primary role of this position is to ensure the safe mechanical function of all vehicles. The person in this role will work directly with the Vehicle Maintenance Foreman and the Transportation Program Manager. This person will serve as a liaison to the driver and the agency contracted for repairs.
Qualifications
High School diploma or GED; Commercial Driver License, Class A or B with Passenger endorsement; bilingual in English and Spanish; four (4) years experience in a pre-school program (preferred); good driving record; knowledge and /or experience in vehicle maintenance and minor repairs and vehicle troubleshooting; knowledge and /or exprience in traffic and road safety; or any equivalent comibination of acceptable training and experience as determined by the Executive Director.
