Summary
The Family Partnership and Leadership Instructor plays a vital role in the development and implementation of classes and/ or training in the areas of adult education, vocational training and life skills classes. The Family Partnership and Leadership Instructor must be capable of supporting and empowering the parents in their efforts to become self-sufficient.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED; Associate’s degree in Social Work, Sociology, Education, Computer Information Systems, or related field; Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Sociology, Education, Computer Information Systems, or related field (preferred); experience in conducting adult classes in the areas of child development, GED, ESL, computer literacy, job readiness, Texas Adult Education Credential (preferred); knowledge of early childhood development; experience in working with low income families; experience in working with and training adults; bilingual in English and Spanish; experience in planning, developing and conducting educational and training programs for virtual and face-to-face sessions for low income parents; positive communication skills; experience working with Head Start parents (preferred); must be available to work evenings/ weekends; must possess a valid driver’s license and insurance; or any equivalent combination of acceptable training and experience as determined by the Executive Director.
