Teacher, Head Start 2019-2020 Pool



Plays a leadership role in the early child development and success of all Head Start students by implementing the Head Start curriculum.  Demonstrating instructional leadership, this educator positively impacts the success of all students by advocating, nurturing, and sustaining a culture and classroom environment conducive to learning and early childhood development.  The focus of this position, although not limited to this, is impacting early childhood development at the center level and preparing children with school readiness skills.
The qualifying skills for this position are as follows: Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education/Early Childhood Education or related field; bilingual (English/Spanish); Food Handler’s card, First Aid/CPR certification (preferred); at least one year of experience in developing lesson plans and instructional activities; or any equivalent combination of acceptable training and experience as determined by the Executive Director.
