Summary

Plays a vital role in preparing children with school readiness skills necessary to succeed in school and life, through the implementation of the Head Start curriculum. Demonstrates instructional leadership, this educator positively impacts and drives the success of all students by advocating, nurturing, and sustaining a culture and classroom environment conducive to learning and developmentally appropriate practices.  The focus of this position, although not limited to this, is impacting early childhood development at the classroom level.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education/Early Childhood Education or related field; bilingual (English/Spanish); Food Handler’s card, First Aid/CPR certification (preferred); at least one year of experience in developing lesson plans and instructional activities; or any equivalent combination of acceptable training and experience as determined by the Executive Director.
