School Readiness Coach Infant & Toddler, Head Start 2023-2024 POOL
Summary
The School Readiness Coach, Infant and Toddler must possess superior knowledge of fetal/infant/toddler development, appropriate arrangement of classroom, development of appropriate curriculum, learning plans and implementation of appropriate activities. This person will model effective practices and will assist Infant/ Toddler Teachers in implementing developmentally appropriate practices in center-based and home-based settings. This person must be able to communicate effectively and work positively with children, parents, Head Start personnel, and external agencies. This position requires frequent travel to and from various sites and other locations to support and enhance the teacher’s instructional practices.
Qualifications
Must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field; experience in developing and implementing learning plans; experience in planning and conducting staff development workshops (preferred); ability to communicate clearly in English and Spanish, both verbally and in writing; or any equivalent combination of acceptable training and experience as determined by the Executive Director. Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
