Center Custodian, Head Start Pool 2019-2020

Summary

Performs all custodial duties on a regularly scheduled basis to ensure the comfort and safety of the children, staff, and parents at the center.  This position also requires that the custodian be alert of unsafe conditions and potential hazards within the work area. If assigned to a site that has a catered kitchen, may be required to obtain a food handler’s card and assist with food service, assuring nutritional food safety and sanitation standards are met.

 

Qualifications  

Experience in cleaning and maintaining a sanitary environment; ability to read in English or Spanish; food handler’s card (preferred); knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards (preferred); High School Diploma or GED (preferred); bilingual English/Spanish (preferred); experience working in a school setting (preferred); or any equivalent combination of acceptable training and experience as determined by the Executive Director.
