Requires a high school diploma or GED certificate with an Associate’s degree preferred. A minimum typing skill of 50 wpm, 2-3 years secretarial experience is required. Requires an advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications as well as the ability to write, proofread and edit correspondence/documents. Strong communication skills and planning/prioritizing of work duties is imperative. Knowledge of basic accounting and bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.
This position performs varied secretarial and administrative functions for Special Education assigned professional staff. Provides support in developing and monitoring budgets, purchasing, payroll, composing correspondence and informational materials. Assists in planning and coordinating meetings and workshops. Communicates with internal and external customers by providing information and assistance.
