Mentor, Family Services/ERSEA, Head Start 2023-2024 Pool

Summary

 

The Family Services/ ERSEA Mentor plays a vital role in the implementation and evaluation of social services for children and families and is the driving force in the recruitment, enrollment, and selection of children. This position requires the ability to provide guidance, support to the Family Service Workers through professional development and on site mentoring opportunities. This position supports the Program Manager, Family Services/ ERSEA in planning and equipping of program staff related to social services, human services, and family services to effectively support and advocate for children and families toward their school readiness goals. This position requires frequent travel to and from various sites and other locations to support and enhance services to children, families, and staff.

 

 

Qualifications

  

The qualifying skills for this position are as follows: Associates degree in the field of social services, family services, human services, (or a related field); Bachelor’s degree in the aforementioned fields (preferred); 2 years of case management experience working with at risk/ economically disadvantaged families, experience in data analysis and interpretation; experience in planning and conducting staff development; ability to work independently and in a team setting; proficient in English and Spanish, both verbally and written; grant writing experience (preferred) or any equivalent combination of acceptable training and experience as determined by the Executive Director. Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
