Mentor, Family Services/ERSEA, Head Start Pool 2020-2021
The Family Services/ ERSEA Mentor plays a vital role in the implementation and evaluation of social services for children and families and is the driving force in the recruitment, enrollment, and selection of children. This position requires the ability to provide guidance, support and mentorship to the Community Outreach and Referral Technician. This position requires frequent travel to and from various sites and other locations to support and enhance services to children, families, and staff.
The qualifying skills for this position are as follows: High school diploma or GED; Certified Nurse Assistant or Registered Medical Assistant or Promotora certification and 3-5 years experience working in a social services/health setting; or an Associate of Arts Degree in Human Services or a related field and 2 years of experience in a social services/ health setting; or a Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field and at least one year of experience working in a social services/health setting; experience in conducting outreach activities in social services and health; experience working with at risk and/or disadvantaged population; experience in proposal development, data analysis and interpretation; experience in planning and conducting staff development; ability to work independently and in a team setting; proficient in English and Spanish, both verbally and written; or any equivalent combination of acceptable training and experience as determined by the Executive Director. Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
